VISION LAB · PROTOTYPE
Reading match video into positions on a pitch.
Every marker below comes from a person detector run over the recorded clip beside it, then mapped onto pitch coordinates. Nothing here is animated by hand.
What this is not
- Not a live feed. This is one pre-processed 30-second clip, sampled at 5 Hz.
- Not official player tracking. Track IDs are candidates — players can be missed, duplicated or swapped.
- Accuracy has not been measured against labelled ground truth. Treat positions as approximate.
- No score, match clock or player names are shown, because none of that is verified here.

Kits are grouped by shirt colour, not by any official squad list. The ball only appears where the detector actually found it — no passes or shots are inferred.

Detector scores are model confidence, not accuracy. Positions come from a thin-plate-spline fit to pitch landmarks; the error at any player position has not been measured.
